Police search for suspect in attempted bank robbery

INDIANAPOLIS — Police are seeking public assistance in connection with a strong armed robbery Friday at the Fifth Third Bank at 7373 W. 10th St., Indianapolis.

Police say a black male, believed to be in his early 30s, entered the bank and handed a note to an employee demanding money. The note reportedly gave detailed instructions on the bills desired.

The employee was able to hit the hold up alarm and the suspect fled the scene eastbound, without obtaining any money.

At the time of the attempted robbery, the man was wearing a black stocking cap, glasses, a long-sleeved gray shirt, gray sweat pants, and gloves.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 262-8477.
