Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report of a bank robbery shortly after 9 a.m. Friday at Fifth Third Bank, 9365 E. Washington St., Indianapolis.
The suspect is described as a black man in his mid-20s, about 5’11” tall, with a stocky build. At the time of the robbery, he had a goatee and was wearing dark sunglasses and a yellow hat with ear flaps and a New York Yankees logo.
Police say the suspect passed a note to a bank teller, demanding money; no weapon was seen but one was implied. The suspect then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money in a newer model black Chevrolet 1500 truck with .
The FBI is conducting an active investigation into the incident.
