PLAINFIELD — This is a release from the Plainfield Community School Corporation regarding a potential threatening message found in writing:
Today a staff member at Plainfield Community Middle School notified administrators of theratening writing on a bathroom wall stall that alluded to a bomb threat for next Thurs., Sept. 20.
School administrators have been in contact with the Plainfield Police Department and are vigorously investigating to determine the identity of the person responsible for the threat. This act is a criminal felony and when the responsible party is identified, we intend to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.
While we do not believe students are in any immediate danger, we do take all threats of violence seriously. As a precautionary step, additional security measures will be in place next week.
