Women's Day at the Statehouse is Feb. 6

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Commission for Women (ICW) is hosting a Women's Day at the Statehouse from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 6.

The event will highlight results from ICW's 2011-12 Hoosier Women Speak listening sessions and will have follow-up discussions that focus on how individuals and organizations can move forward with realistic solutions to the top five priorities identified: health-related issues, work-based issues, leadership, care giving, and violence against women.

    The Indiana Department of Local Government Finance (DLGF) recently announced that property tax bills were issued on time in 91 counties. This is the first time since at least 2001 that 91 counties have achieved on-time billing.

For the youthful Warriors, the contest was tough lesson. The Cadets turned on their bats and junior pitcher Kellie Mink turned up the heat on the Warriors’ hitters as the Cadets cut short Covenant’s season with a 23-0 win in five innings.
