DANVILLE —
With five captains, the Danville boys' soccer team has no shortage of leadership.
Two of those veterans found the back of the net Saturday, as Josh White scored twice and David Haak netted a goal to lead the host Warriors to a 3-2 victory over Mooresville.

Danville - with its 10 seniors - is so experienced that coach Jason Bridwell had a difficult time selecting his captains earlier this season. But it was a good problem to have, he said.
"I couldn't go any lower than five captains," Bridwell said. "They're all leaders. If he (White) needed two goals today, he could take two goals, if he needed five assists or to sit on the bench, he'd do that for us. Every man will step up and do his job."
The Warriors improved to 3-3 on the season.
Mooresville struck first less than 10 minutes into the contest, when Kyler Smith split two Danville defenders and blasted the ball into the net.
But it didn't take the Warriors long to notch the equalizer. With 25:22 to go in the half, Haak scored on a header off a corner kick from Caio Torres.
The quick pace continued, as less than six minutes later the Pioneers went back on top 2-1 on a goal from Andrew Majeski.
Danville again responded right away.
Mooresville goalkeeper Keith Goodwin tipped a Ben Klinker shot, but White punched in the rebound to knot the contest at 2-2 with 18:22 left in the first half.
The score remained tied at halftime. Danville took three corner kick attempts in the first half to Mooresville's two.
A corner kick set up the game-winning goal just 7:45 into the second half. Torres lofted one toward the goal - and White - who knocked in a header to put the Warriors ahead to stay, 3-2.
"We've had some troubles early in the season with losing focus and our composure out on the field," Bridwell said. "Today we were able to keep that composure and move the ball around like we knew we could all year. We hope we're able to continue doing that."
Danville defeated Northview 11-0 earlier Saturday.
The Warriors are back in action at 6:45 p.m. tonight, when they travel to Plainfield.
