Vision loss group to meet Sept. 8

DANVILLE —

Hendricks County Senior Services offers a monthly support group for people suffering from vision loss, facilitated by Bosma Industries. The group meets on the second Thursday of each month at the Hendricks County Senior Center in Danville.

The next meeting is 10:30 a.m. Sept. 8 at the senior center.

Meetings are free and open to all. They are designed for the sharing of personal experiences, information about new technology, and the opportunity to hear from guest speakers.

The session will be of benefit to those who have dealt with loss of vision for a period of time as well as those who are just now experiencing the condition.

Transportation is available through Senior Services by calling 745-4303. Those who would like to stay for lunch following the meeting are asked to call at least 24 hours in advance.

There is a suggested donation of $2 for senior citizens age 60 and older and their spouses.

New participants are always welcome and membership in the senior center is not required.
