The preschool choir from St. Susanna School in Plainfield will be performing Christmas carols at 11:15 a.m. Dec. 2 at the Hendricks County Senior Center, 1201 Sycamore Lane, Danville.
This program is free and open to the public.
Senior center hosts
Christmas party
Hendricks County Senior Services will hold its annual Member Christmas Party from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Hendricks County Senior Center, 1201 Sycamore Lane, Danville.
The party will feature a meal, paid for by Avon United Methodist Church and prepared by The Hearth at Prestwick. Roland Retirement Clubs will provide desserts.
The party is for current members of the Hendricks County Senior Center. Tickets are $2 per person and reservations must be made no later than Dec. 12.
David Hatfield from The Breakfast Club will be joined by friends to provide Christmas music.

Medicare ‘donut hole’
seminar held Nov. 22
This time of year many people have used up what Medicare will pay for medications and then have to pay privately for their prescription medications. Many refer to this as the Medicare “donut hole.”
The Hearth at Prestwick will host a patient medication assistance workshop at 7 p.m. Nov. 22 for people who find themselves in this situation.
People who do not have insurance to cover their medication and whose income is less than $27,000 for a one-person household or $40,000 for a two-person household, but do not qualify for Medicaid, may learn about help for their situation.
The Hearth at Prestwick is a senior living community offering independent and assisted living, as well as secured memory care in an assisted living style. It is at 182 S. C.R. 550 E., Avon, just 1.5 miles west of State Road 267 on U.S. 36. For more information, call 745-2766.

The Hearth at Prestwick is collecting new, unwrapped toys that will be donated to the Toys for Tots program.
The toys may be brought to the lobby at The Hearth at Prestwick, 182 S. C.R. 550 E., Avon, just 1.5 miles west of State Road 267 and U.S. 36.
