St. Susanna teacher receives grant

PLAINFIELD —  Science teahcer Janet Keena received some good news this week — her class will receive funds for new microscopes.

Keena applied for the McDonald’s MAC Grant and was awarded $482 to purchase new high powered equipment for her classroom at St. Susanna School in Plainfield.

McDonald’s Restaurants of Central Indiana offer the MAC Grants to teachers to support them and help enhance the student experience.

Andrew Francis owns and operates a McDonald’s restaurant in Plainfield and was asked to present the check to Keena and her students.

“This really is a neat program,” Francis said. “I’m so glad I was able to come over to deliver this check today.”

The MAC Grants program gives funding to teachers for interesting and educational projects each year. Applications may be submitted online at www.mcindiana.com.
