Danville Community High School is looking to find and honor former students whose deeds and character exemplify outstanding achievement in their life’s work and/or service to their communities.
DCHS holds an annual banquet to honor its academic top 15 senior class members each April, and combines that celebration with the Alumni Hall of Fame awards. On April 14, the students and honored graduates will be recognized at a dinner, where stories of spirit and leadership will be interspersed with presentations by students, teachers, and alumni.
Community members are invited to nominate alumni for consideration into the Hall of Fame.
Eligible recipients must have graduated from DCHS at least 10 years ago; must have been recognized for a high level of achievement in their field, making significant contributions to that field at the state, national, or international level; and must have demonstrated leadership, character, and service in a variety of venues from a field of expertise to community, state, or national initiatives.
Nominations for posthumous awards will also be accepted. The deadline for submissions is March 5.
To make a nomination, upload the Alumni Nomination Form on the high school website at www.danville.k12.in.us; select the Alumni tab on the right side of the screen; then select Alumni Hall of Fame on the left menu bar. Or, contact Suzy Freeman by calling 745-6431 or by e-mailing to sfreeman@danville.k12.in.us for an application form.
