Jeffrey David Robertson of South Bend died Friday in Culver. He was 39.
Mr. Robertson enjoyed teaching children the history of Indian culture through native dances as an Indian lore instructor with Culver Summer Camps. The highlight of his Culver experience was performing the Flaming Hoop Dance at a Council Fire with his brother Chris and father John.
Survivors include his parents, Norma (Jack) Lucas of Culver and John (Jackie) Robertson of Plainfield; brothers Chris (Cari) Robertson of Culver, Josh Robertson of Portland, Ore., and Dylan Robertson of Plainfield; sisters Hannah (Dan) Schwanekamp of Brownsburg, Michele (Kevin) Vanlue of Plymouth, and Jennifer (Brian) Brewer of Culver; grandmothers Elizabeth Davis of Culver, Mary Robertson (Teeny) of Plainfield, and Joan Even of Mooresville; an aunt, Carol (Kevin) Keskeny of Florence, Mont.; uncles Gary (Kitty) Davis of Argos and Richard (Kathy) Robertson of Xenia, Ohio; cousins Justin Robertson, Eden (Kevin) Matteson, Kim (David) Miller, Daniel Marks, Elizabeth and Mark Davis.
Preceding him in death were grandfathers Leroy Davis, Alfred Robertson, and Alvin Even, and cousins Heather and Anthony Robertson.
A family memorial service will take place at a later date.
