Carl H. Methner Sr. died Thursday morning in Brownsburg. He was 96.

Survivors include children Marian Methner of Bellingham, Wash., Carl Jr. and wife Barbara  of Avon, and Carol Steiner and husband Howard of Kalamazoo, Mich.; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was his wife of 62 years, Catherine, and a son, John.

Mr. Methner was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Kalamazoo.

Private interment will be at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Kalamazoo.

Memorials may be made to The Methner Family Library, in St. Susanna School, 1212 E. Main St., Plainfield, IN 46168.

Kroeger Funeral Home in Logansport is handling arrangements.
