— Frances Elizabeth O'Neill has died.
Born Feb. 27, 1924, in Chicago, Ill., she was a daughter of Karl and Elizabeth Marx.
She spent her early years in Chicago and then graduated from Steinmetz High School before going on to Wright Junior College and Northwestern University. She worked for Chicago Title and Trust Company from 1941 to '49.
She married Dr. Gerald H. O'Neill and they moved to Plainfield where he practiced optometry for 34 years. She worked for Butler University College of Pharmacy from 1976 until retiring in '91.
Mrs. O'Neill was a member of Tri Kappa sorority, Lady Elks, and the American Legion and VFW auxiliaries.
Survivors include her husband; daughters and sons-in-law Kathy and Terry Walden and Maureen and Charles Potucek; a son, Michael H. O'Neill; grandsons Matt Walden, Ryan Walden and wife Kristi, Kurt Walden, John Walden, Michael Potucek, and Mark Potucek; and a great-grandson, Riley Walden.
Private services are being handled Flanner and Buchanan Mortuary. Entombment will be at Washington Park North Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, Light House Mission, or a charity of the donor's choice.
