Ennis J. Pennington died Monday at his Jamestown home. He was 67.
Born July 29, 1945, in Lizton, he was a son of the late Jesse and Flora Allen Pennington.
Mr. Pennington was a member of the Jamestown American Legion and the Teamsters Local 716. He appreciated classic cars and was especially proud of the 1932 Ford Coupe Five Window that he built. He was an avid race car fan and also enjoyed fishing.
He retired from Underwood Machinery in 2009 after 30 years of service, where he was a truck driver and rigger.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Politte Pennington; a daughter, Tina Pennington of Jamestown; a grandson, Chris (Katie) Pennington of Brownsburg; step-children Kelly (Vernee) Eads of McCordsville, Melissa Luebbert of Avon, Shelly (Dr. Adam) Wineinger of Kansas City, Mo., Marsha (Bob) Sansoucie of Potosi, Mo., Chris (Angie) Miller of Potosi, Mo., Andy (Jen Castle) Miller of Potosi, Mo., and Kenneth Miller of Potosi, Mo.; step-grandchildren Addison and Meridan Eads, Eli Hoopengarner, Grady Luebbert, Madison Miller, Gabriella Miller, David Miller, Edith (John) Cooper, and Bobby (Raechel) Sansoucie; brothers Frank (Angela) Pennington, Arvil (Phyllis) Pennington, Charlie (Peggy) Pennington, and Tom (Roxanne) Pennington; sisters Artilla (Paul) Williams, Marcella (Verlin) Luckey, and Fern (Steve) Baringer; in-laws Virgie (Dale) Welker, Annie (Dave) Fenstermaker, Clarice (Dave) Buckley, Herman Politte, and Gary Politte; and former wife, Marie (Barthalow) Marburger.
Preceding him in death were a brother, Alvin (Vrena) Pennington; a sister, Uzella (Jim) Neitzel; and a former wife, Carol Foster Pennington.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Porter Funeral Home, 315 W. Main St., Jamestown, with Roger Popplewell officiating. Interment will follow at the Jamestown I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Calling at the funeral home is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and for an hour prior to the service on Saturday.
