Larry D. Bray of Columbus died Wednesday at the age of 69.
He was a native of Columbus, but lived and worked on the west side of Indianapolis. He graduated from Columbus High School in 1960, received an undergraduate degree in 1970, and a master's degree in business and education in 1973 from Indiana University in Bloomington.
Mr. Bray taught for eight years at Ben Davis High School where he sponsored the student council and was a regular attendee of extracurricular activities.
He obtained his real estate broker license in 1978 and worked as a Realtor for F.C. Tucker until 2009. Upon retirement, he moved back to Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Angela; his mother, Charlotte Bray of Columbus; a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Debbie Bray of Fishers; grandchildren Gavin, Ethan, Emily, and Jessica, all of Fishers; and a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Judy Bray of Columbus.
Preceding him in death was his father, Donald Bray, who died in 1961.
Services are 11 a.m. Sept. 5 at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home, 1029 Washington St., Columbus. A graveside service will follow at Reddington Cemetery in Reddington.
Calling at the funeral home is from 4 to 8 p.m. Sept. 4 and for an hour prior to the service on Sept. 5.
