Donald M. Fisher of Avon died Monday. He was 83 and had formerly resided in Stilesville.
Born Feb. 10, 1927, in Indianapolis, he was a son of the late Virgil and Bessie (Terrell) Fisher.
Mr. Fisher was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He worked more than 20 years as a tool and die maker and owner of Plastic Equipment in Clayton, before retiring in 1982.
He was a member of the High School Road Church of Christ and a former member of the Stilesville Church of Christ.
Survivors include sons and a daughter-in-law, Teddy J. Fisher, and Larry J. and Margaret Fisher; daughters and sons-in-law, Betsie J. and Mike Routh, and Cheryl J. and Vernon Sweeney; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Martha J. (Wolven) Fisher, who died Jan. 30; a daughter-in-law, Brenda (Mink) Fisher; and a grandson, Robert Bell Routh.
Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home in Plainfield. Interment will be at Stilesville Cemetery.
