Albert E. “Bud” Chandler of Plainfield died Wednesday. He was 98.
Born June 20, 1914, in Hendricks County, he was a son of the late Alex and Clara (Glendenning) Chandler. He worked 30 years as a die setter for GM Chevrolet Truck & Bus Plant before retiring in 1976.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Plainfield, the Belleville Masonic Lodge, and the Plainfield Odd Fellows.
Survivors include sons Paul (Alice) and Charles Chandler; daughters Judith Young, Clara (Charles) Brevard, and Linda Brevard; step-sons Roger Chandler and Terry (Kimberly) Cordry; step-daughters Joanne Patrick and Beverly Chandler; a sister, Marie Hopkins; 28 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, and 31 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was a son, Michael Chandler, and a daughter, Betty Sue Chandler.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home in Plainfield. Interment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield.
