Nellie I. Wellman of Plainfield died Sunday at The Gathering Place. She was 87.
Born Dec. 24, 1924, in Hazelwood, she was a daughter of Eathor and Anna George Curtis. She married Jewell Glenn Wellman in 1945 and he died in 1997.
Mrs. Wellman worked 18 years as a bookkeeper for the doctor’s office of Ellett and then Heavin in Coatesville before retiring in 1986.
Survivors include a son, Gerry “Butch” (Susie) Wellman; a daughter, Linda (Bruce) Baker; three granddaughters, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Hall-Baker Funeral Home in Plainfield. Interment will follow at Stilesville Cemetery.
Calling at the funeral home is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
