James M. Whitaker Jr. of Pittsboro died Friday. He was 46.
Born Nov. 26, 1965, in Lebanon, he was the son of Hazel (Miller) Whitaker and the late James M. Whitaker.
Mr. Whitaker was a restaurant cook.
Survivors include his mother; three sisters, Kathy M. Kelly (Kirk) of Pittsboro, Teresa J. Freije (Keith) of Pittsboro, and Darlene Daniels of Roachdale; and a brother, Carl Wayne Shepherd of Indianapolis.
Services are 10 a.m. Nov. 2 in David A. Hall Mortuary, 220 N. Maple St., Pittsboro, where friends my call 6-8 p.m. Nov. 1. Burial will be in K of P Cemetery in Lizton.
