M. Suzanne (Rapp) Overman of Brownsburg died Monday. She was 89.

Born Aug. 22, 1923, in Syracuse, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Ruth Rapp. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Victor Overman.

Mrs. Overman was a devoted coach's wife, a teacher, and an avid golfer.

She and her husband had lived in New Castle, Noblesville, Westfield, Rochester, Franklin, Michigan City, Mishawaka, Carmel, and Brownsburg.

She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star (since 1941), and Tri Kappa Sorority (since 1953). She was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Faith in Action.

Survivors include children Daniel (Mary) Overman, Nancy Overman Johnson, David (Debbie) Overman, Robert (Paula) Overman, and MaryAnn (William) Zweige; a brother, Joseph (Jackie) Rapp Jr.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services are 10 a.m. Friday at Calvary United Methodist Church.

Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg.
