Clyde M. Millhorn Jr. died Oct. 28.
Born Dec. 21, 1926, in Mt. Carmel, Ill., he was a son of the late Clyde M. Millhorn Sr. and Alberta Weedon Millhorn.
He graduated from Mt. Carmel High School and then served as a radio operator in the Philippines with the U.S. Army during World War II. After completing his tour of duty, he returned to Mt. Carmel and married Patricia Ann Lance. They were married for 37 years before she died in 1983. Mr. Millhorn later married Doreen C. Bolyard, who survives.
Mr. Millhorn was the owner of Quality Home Builders and founded Clyde’s Carpet in the Indianapolis area.
He was an accomplished bowler, pilot, and golfer. He was also a 32nd degree Mason.
Additional survivors include a sons and a daughter-in-law, Mike and Cathy Millhorn of The Villages, Fla., and David Millhorn of Clayton; a grandson, Chris Millhorn and wife Heather of Avon; a granddaughter, Jamie Millhorn Delmonico and husband Adam of Portland, Ore.; and great-grandchildren Abbey and Merrick Millhorn.
Services are pending, but will be held in Florida in December.
