Richard L. Bane

Richard L. Bane of Brownsburg died Wednesday. He was 79.

Mr. Bane was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked 20 years as service manager for Blanck Chevrolet before retiring, and then served 10 years as the Hendricks County Veterans Service Officer.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Brownsburg American Legion Post 331 where he served four times as post commander.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Bane; a daughter, Denise Foster; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Celebration of life services are 2 p.m. Saturday at the Brownsburg American Legion Post.
