Jackie Lee Willard of Danville died July 6 in St. Vincent Heart Center. He was 75.
Born October 12, 1936 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Elvin and Eva Walton Willard. He married Barbara Sharp on May 18, 1975, in Shelburn and she survives.
Mr. Willard was a 1954 graduate of Danville High School, he was also an US Air Force veteran.
He worked in maintenance and as a truck driver for Public Service Indiana for 37 years, retiring in 1996. He is a member of the Northview Christian Church and past volunteer at the Avon and Lizton Fire Departments. He was also a member of the Danville Fire Department, where he served as chief for nine years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Jean (Dan) McAllister of Niota, Tenn., Jackie Willard II of Fairbanks, Ark., and Randall (Nicole) Gipson of Fortville; brothers, James Allan Willard of Danville, Charles Porter Willard of Danville, and William Randall Willard of Golden Gate, Fla.; grandchildren, Hunter Scott Gipson, Jackie Lee Willard III, Amber McAllister, and Dustin McAllister.
Services will be at at 11 a.m. July 9 in Northview Christian Church. Burial will follow at Mill Creek Cemetery.
Calling will be from 2 to 6 p.m. July 8 at the church.
