Albert John Hall of Plainfield died Tuesday at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville. He was 94.
Born March 29, 1915, in Plainfield, he was a son of the late John and Ida (Newlin) Hall. He was born and raised as a Quaker on his family farm south of Plainfield, where he lived his entire life.
Mr. Hall attended Sugar Grove Elementary School and graduated from Plainfield High School in 1933. He was a lifelong farmer and also drove a school bus for more than 30 years for the Plainfield School Corporation and was a rural mail carrier for 37 years for the United States Postal Service.
He was a member of the Plainfield Friends Meeting and Fairfield Friends Meeting.
Survivors include a daughter, Alberta Shaw; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Pam Hall; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Geneva (McCollum) Hall, and a daughter, Marcia Peacock.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home. Interment will be at Sugar Grove Cemetery.
Calling at the funeral home is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
