Harriet Jean Bunton

Harriet Jean Bunton died Sunday at her North Salem home. She was 85.

Born Nov. 25, 1923, in North Salem, she was a daughter of the late Kennith and Edith (Davenport) Smith. She married Ralph Bunton in 1942, and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Bunton graduated from North Salem High School in 1941. She was a homemaker and a member of the Roachdale Christian Church.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Janet and Ken Smith and Maribeth and Dave Fox, all of Danville; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were a son, Mark, and a sister, Helen Burnsworth.

Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Porter Funeral Home in North Salem. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in North Salem.

Calling at the funeral home is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
