Dennis R. Trent Sr. of Advance

Dennis R. Trent Sr. died Oct. 29 at his home in Advance. He was 56.

Born Aug. 4, 1953, in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Jesse and Helen Ferguson Trent. He married Kris Hoskins on April 3, 1992, and she survives.

Mr. Trent had farmed for many years and also worked at Co-Alliance in Advance.

Additional survivors include sons Dennis Trent Jr. of Lebanon, Dewayne Trent of Ladoga, Joshua Hoskins of Brownsburg, and Jacob Hoskins of Advance; a brother, James Trent of Florida; sisters Joyce Pittman of Indianapolis, Margaret Litteral of Danville, Karen Wray of Roachdale, Peggy Branham of Illinois, and Bonnie Walters of Georgia; and 11 grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were a daughter, Darla James, and brothers Jerry, Melvin, Gene, and Raymond.

Services were Nov. 3 at Advance Community Christian Church with the Rev. Art Thomas officiating. Interment followed at the Jamestown I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Porter Funeral Home in Jamestown handled arrangements.
