Betty June Kemp

Betty June Kemp died Wednesday at her Plainfield home. She was 84.

Born March 17, 1925, in Terre Haute, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Hilda Garde Luttke Charles. She married Clarence Kemp on March 12, 1949, and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Kemp worked 18 years at the Plainfield Post Office before retiring in 1987.

Survivors include sons Kevin Kemp of Plainfield and Jim Kemp Naples, Fla.; and a granddaughter, Sydney Lynn Kemp.

Preceding her in death were a daughter, Barbara Jean Kemp, and a sister, Ruth Marie “Bobbie” Manuel.

Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Hall-Baker Funeral Home in Plainfield with the Rev. David Clayton officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield.

Calling at the funeral home is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.
