Loretta Mae Acton

Loretta Mae Acton of Plainfield died Thursday at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville. She was 75.

Born Feb. 28, 1937, in Danville, she was a daughter of the late Ira and Bertha Taylor.

Mrs. Acton worked 30 years as a manager for Lindners Ice Cream Shop in Indianapolis and the surrounding area.

Survivors include sons Rex, Ray (Linda), and Ross (Sara) Acton; daughters Jane (Randy) Mayo, Fay (George) Cheeks, Gayle (Wayne) Mayo, Jill (Doug) Albrecht, and Kay Acton; a sister, Donna Lubore; 32 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Wayne J. Acton, and a daughter, Janet Acton.

Services were 11 a.m. Monday at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home. Interment was at Maple Hill Cemetery.
