Mary L. Chandler

Mary L. Chandler of Danville died Saturday at Danville Regional Rehabilitation Center. She was 88.

Born June 3, 1924, in Somerset, Ky., she was a daughter of the late George and Maggie (Mantz) Steward. She married Lester Chandler in 1943, and he died in 2009.

Mrs. Chandler worker for more than 40 years as a record and tape tester at RCA Corp. in Indianapolis, before retiring in 1987.

Survivors include a son, Terry Chandler and wife Becky of Danville; three grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and sisters Joyce Walker and Anita Stewart, both of Junction City, Ky.

Preceding her in death were twin daughters.

Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Weaver & Randolph Funeral Home in Danville. Interment will be at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Plainfield.

Calling is for two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
