Raymond “Joe” Ruddick of Plainfield died June 27 at Lakeview Manor Nursing Home. He was 96.
He was born Nov. 12, 1912, in Indianapolis. He married Mary Wehrel on Feb. 29, 1936, and she died Feb. 23, 2004.
Mr. Ruddick was a 1933 graduate of Butler University. He worked 42 years as a budget manger in the accounting department for Public Service Indiana before retiring in 1978.
He was a member of the Plainfield Christian Church, Plainfield Masonic Lodge No. 653, and a charter member of Plainfield Elks Lodge No. 2186.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Betty Ruddick and Bob and Sue Ruddick; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Private services will be at Hall-Baker Funeral Home in Plainfield with the Rev. Justin White officiating. Entombment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield.
