Mildred Vaughn of Brownsburg died Wednesday. She was 71.
Mrs. Vaughn served in the U.S. Army from 1956-58 and worked 15 years as a certified nursing assistant at Danville Regional Rehab Center before retiring in 1999.
She was a member of Connection Pointe Christian Church and the Hawaiian Islanders.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Ron Carrington, Brenda and Willard Barnett, and Laura and David Thompson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mauricio Agtuca Jr., George and Lynette Lumabao, and Violet Lumabao; a brother-in-law, Anjil Barino Jr.; grandchildren Matthew Carrington and wife Christina, Daniel Carrington and wife Kim, Ashley Thompson, Jessica Barnett, Zachary Thompson, and Chase Thompson; great-grandchildren Tatum Carrington and Grace Carrington.
Preceding her in death were a son, Charles Kenton Vaughn; a brother, Edward “Sonny” Lumabao; and a sister, Shirley Barino.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg. Interment will be at Brownsburg Cemetery.
Calling at the mortuary is for two hours prior to the service.
