Gwendolyn J. Cox Sanders of Avon died Saturday in Avon. She was 87.
Born Aug. 19, 1921, in Kansas, Ill., she was a daughter of the late Riley Anderson Cox and Lula May Stricker. She was the widow of Russell Sanders.
Mrs. Sanders worked in data entry for the State of Indiana.
She was a member of Avon United Methodist Church, several church clubs, and Travel Study Amsterdam Division.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Cooper; a son, John Sanders; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Avon United Methodist Church with the Rev. Karen L. Devaisher officiating. Entombment will be at Floral Park Cemetery.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Conkle Funeral Home in Avon.
