Willard L. Steagall died Tuesday at his Coatesville home. He was 94.
Born Oct. 29, 1917, in Cranston, Ky., he was a son of the late Robert and Hannah Quisenberry Steagall.
Mr. Steagall was a U.S. Army veteran or World War II and worked 41 years in the plant at Dow Chemical, formerly Pittman-Moore, before retiring.
He was a member of the Coatesville Town Board for 40 years, serving as president for many of those years. He served 12 years on the Amo Conservancy Sewer Board.
He also belonged to Grace Baptist church and was a Mason.
Survivors include a niece and nephews, Dallas Warner, Tina Brannon, Tom Warner, Jim Warner, and William Warner; stepchildren Keith Chicola, Kay Kelso, Kathy Jackson, Karla Gibson, and Kristy Childers; and several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were wives Retha Bowen Steagall and Pearl Blackburn Chicola-Steagall.
Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Grace Baptist church in Coatesville. Interment with military honors will be at Coatesville Cemetery.
Calling at the church is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.
