Kieth Nelson Green of Greencastle died Tuesday at the age of 76.
Born Jan. 19, 1936, in Brownsburg, he was a son of the late Edward and Mildred Wilson Green.
Mr. Green served in the U.S. Navy Reserves during the Korean War. He attended Purdue University and worked at Avco in Cincinnati, Ohio, Magnavox in Urbana, Ill., and Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis. He ended his career at P.R. Mallory in Greencastle where he served as plant manager from 1987 until his retirement in 2004.
He was a member of Greencastle Christian Church, Mallory Conversation Club, and a lifetime member of American Legion Post 58, where he was a past commander. He had served as a Scout Leader; former chairman of trustees at Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church; and Greencastle City Councilman from 1996-99.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Penelope Jean Gardner Green; children Byron Green of Albuquerque, N.M., Michael Lee and wife Julie Allen of Greenwood, Laurie Gobert and husband Shawn of Greencastle, Jonathan Green and wife Shannon of Avon, and Julienne Green and husband Brett Terry of San Jose, Calif.; brothers Edward Zollars and wife Maxine of Brownsburg, and William Zollars and wife Linda of Indianapolis; a sister, Betty Craven of Ramona, Calif.; and grandchildren Keely Allen, Connor Allen, Eryn Lee, Ellen Gobert, Nathan Gobert, Isabella Green, Evalyn Green, and Lillian Green.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday at Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home, 602 E. Washington St., Greencastle, with the Rev. Mark Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
Calling at the funeral home is from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
