— Mariel L. Kitts of Avon died Monday. She was 58 and had formerly resided in Danville.
Born Oct. 29, 1951, she was a daughter of Robert and Gertrude (Hensell) Kitts.
Mrs. Kitts worked 15 years in the bakery department at the Kroger store in Danville, from 1992 to 2007. She then transferred to the Greencastle store, working there for a year from 2007 to '08.
She was a member of the Danville Christian Church and the Hendricks County Choral Club. She was active in the church, teaching children's Sunday school and participating in Mary's Circle.
Survivors include children Rebecca Pitman of Greencastle, Darrell Money Jr. of Danville, and David Wayne Money of Avon; three grandchildren; a sister, Ellen Kitts of Wheeling, W.V.; and a brother, David Kitts of North Carolina.
Services are 7 p.m. Friday at Weaver & Randolph Funeral Home in Danville with the Rev. Don Campbell officiating. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Crawfordsville.
Calling at the funeral home is for three hours prior to the service.
