Carol S. (Mitchell) Gipson of Plainfield died Tuesday. She was 67.

Born Sept. 18, 1942, in Indianapolis, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Mary (Clapp) Mitchell.

She worked 14 years as a manager at Giovannis Pizza in Indianapolis until 1975.

Survivors include her husband, Harlan Gipson; sons and a daughter-in-law, Tony Gipson and Jerry and Doris Gipson; daughters Debbie Marlow, and three Florida daughters, Ahn McQueen, Brenda and Linda Totton; brothers Delbert "Bud" and Jeffery Mitchell; sisters Nora Anderson and Linda Thickston; and grandchildren Justis, Nick, Zachary, and Jeremy Gipson, Tabatha and Chance Webb, and Julie Edwards.

Preceding her in death were a brother, David Mitchell, and sisters Diana Plunkett and Mickey Young.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home in Plainfield.

Calling at the funeral home is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
