Betty Ruth Dixon died Monday at her Amo home. She was 80.
Born April 30, 1932, in Decker Chapel, she was a daughter of the late William Paul Chattin and Mamie Violet (Allen) Chattin. She married Ray Dixon and he survives.
Mrs. Dixon was a homemaker and a member of the Amo United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included playing the piano, reading, knitting, and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
Additional survivors include daughters Sherry Kotter of Greenwood, Kathy Keller and husband Richard of Rockville, and Vicky Able of Greenwood; grandchildren Lindsey Kotter of Amo, Jessica Keller of Marion, Jennifer Spurgeon and husband Deric of Lebanon, Tenn., Matthew Goodpaster and wife Ashley of Indianapolis, and Raychel Able of Greenwood; great-grandchildren Connor Jones, Colton Jones, J.J. Loyd, Ian Spurgeon, Amelia Spurgeon, Braden Goodpaster, and Dane Goodpaster; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were three brothers.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Amo United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Torrance officiating. Interment is 2:45 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes.
Calling at the church is for two hours prior to the service.
