Maurice James Fredriksz died Sunday at his Danville home. He was 64.

Born March 17, 1948, in Jakarta, Indonesia, he was a son of the late Jony Ido and Peggy Agnes (Crist) Fredriksz. He married Catherine Polsgrove on Oct. 18, 1968, and she survives.

Mr. Fredriksz graduated from Northwest High School in 1968. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and served actively during the Vietnam War. He worked many years in the motor freight department for Trans Con Lines in Indianapolis and also owned and operated a carpet cleaning business.

He was a member of the V.F.W. He enjoyed bird watching, cooking, and animals.

Additional survivors include his a son, Scott Fredriksz and wife Erin of Fillmore; a daughter, Tami Hoy and husband Nathan of Fishers; a brother, Randy Fredriksz of California; and a grandson, Elias Fredriksz.

Services are 3 p.m. Oct. 25 in the Harvest House International Church, 10089 N. Kitchen Rd., Mooresville

Calling at the church is for an hour prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Veterans Administration.

Funeral and cremation arrangements are being handled by the Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville.
