Marci E. McDonald Boysen of Fortville died Aug. 22. She was 43.
Born Aug. 13, 1969, in Terre Haute, she was a daughter of Michael L. and Sheila A. McDonald.
Mrs. Boysen graduated from Brownsburg High School in 1987. She attended Wilma Boyd Travel School in Pittsburgh, Pa., and then returned home to become a flight attendant with ATA Airlines. She held various positions with ATA and Ambassadair Travel Club and was able to travel the world. She later became a partner in Bottom Line Travel Solutions.
She met her future husband, Kenny J. Boysen, at the Las Vegas Airport on an ATA flight delay in the spring of 1998. They married in May 2000 on Sanibel Island, Fla.
Mrs. Boysen enjoyed boating and traveling, and was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts and all racing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
She volunteered and was an original board member with Ambassadors for Children.
Survivors include her husband, Kenny J. Boysen; sons Ben and Trey Boysen; parents Michael L. and Sheila A. McDonald; siblings Matt McDonald and Marti Michelle McDonald Trout (Tim); her grandmother, Martha Fletcher; an uncle, Roger Fletcher; an aunt, Bev Sigler (Jon); parents-in-law Kenny Sr. and Malu Boysen; sisters-in-law Denise Boysen, Ivonne Boysen Mendizabal (Eduardo), Sandra Boysen Navarro (Pedro), and Stephanie Boysen; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday at Holy Spirit at Geist Catholic Church, 10350 Glaser Way, Fishers. Calling was at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel.
