Ferne S. Gowin of Plainfield died Saturday at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville. She was 94.

Born Oct. 2, 1917, in Hendricks County, she was a daughter of John and Betty Blanton Stevens. She married Raymond Gowin and he preceded her in death.

Ms. Gowin was a homemaker and also worked as a beautician.

Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn (Bud) Lander of Avon; grandchildren Debra Campbell, Diane Lander, and Jeffrey M. Lander; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Danville South Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
