David L. Wilkinson of Stilesville died at home on June 30. He was 61.
Born on April 12, 1951, in Indianapolis, he was the of Gilbert and Alice (Gahman) Wilkinson. He married Cindy T. (Alexander) Wilkinson on Jan. 27, 1979. She survives.
Mr. Wilkinson lived most of his life in the Clermont and Stilesville area. He was a pipe layer and laborer for Local 120 Laborers and Hod Carriers for 33 years. He was a member of the Westside Club in Indianapolis. Most of all, David loved life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends. Also, as of June 4, 2012, he celebrated his 26th year of sobriety.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, David S. Wilkinson (Leslie) of Indianapolis, Megan Featherston of Brownsburg, and Ralph Wilkinson (Shawna) of Greencastle; eight grandchildren, T.J., Alexis, David, Rylei, Myraze, Savannah, Chayner, and Izaiah; brothers, Frank Wilkinson and Lloyd Wilkinson; sisters, Margaret Williams and Nancy Neel.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Melissa Robertson.
Services will be held at 6 p.m. July 5 at Carlisle -Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Calling will take place prior to the service beginning at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Westside Club.
