— Sara J. Gentry died Saturday at her Bainbridge home. She was 66.
Born May 15, 1946, in Indianapolis, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary Winings Terry. She married Robert Eugene Gentry on July 7, 1982, and he died in June of 2012.
She graduated from Decatur Central High School in 1964 and worked for more than 30 years as a hair stylist.
Mrs. Gentry was very involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s activities and supported the North Putnam Band Boosters. She was a member of the New Winchester Christian Church, where she was active in mission groups and sang in the choir.
Survivors include her children, Ron (Kim) of Thorntown, Jeff (Michelle) of Bainbridge, Heather (Bart) of Wentzville, Mo., and Dan Gentry of Indianapolis; sisters Carol (Larry) Lingner of Mooresville and Gretchen Terry of Indianapolis; and eight grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was a son, Don Gentry, and a brother, Robert Terry.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Baker Funeral Home, 387 E. Broadway St., Danville. Interment will follow at Bainbridge Cemetery.
