Edwin R. Silbaugh of Bainbridge died June 22 in Bainbridge. He was 57.
Mr. Silbaugh earned a bachelor degree in education from Indiana State University and a masters degree in education from DePauw University. He worked 36 years as a teacher for the Danville Community School Corporation. Over the course of his career, he also coached football, track, and wrestling.
He had enjoyed fly fishing, woodworking, and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Kim Hacker Silbaugh; a son, Chris Silbaugh and wife Jodie; stepsons Chris Somerville and Jason Somerville and wife Brandie; brothers Greg Silbaugh and wife Kathy, and Mark Silbaugh and wife Cathy; a sister, Beth Colbin and husband Tim; and eight grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Roger F. Silbaugh and Virginia M. Silbaugh.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Conkle Funeral Home in Avon.
Calling is from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
