John R. Lawson of Indianapolis died Monday. He was 67.
Born Sept. 27, 1945, he was a son of the late Albert and Ethel Lawson.
He grew up in Stringtown and worked at the local boys’ club there. He retired from CSX Railroad after 42 years.
Mr. Lawson enjoyed having family dinners and golfing with his grandsons.
Survivors include his wife, Margie; a son, Gerald Lawson and wife Heather; a daughter, Donna Vivace and husband Brad; grandsons Bradley and Stephen Vivace; sisters Linda Hall and husband Roy, Becky Gegner, and Ona Murriell and husband Jim; brothers David Lawson and wife Sandy, and Tim Lawson.
Preceding him in death were brothers Bo, Jimmy, Tommy, and Danny Lawson.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday at Family Funeral Care. Interment will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
