Allen R. McKaig of Logansport died early Dec. 27 at the Woodbridge Health Campus. He was 87.
Born Feb. 20, 1925, he was a son of the late Roy and Ruth McMillen McKaig. He married Mary Katherine Reed on May 19, 1946, at St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Logansport. She died April 5, 2009.
Mr.McKaig was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. He retired as co-owner of McKaig L.P. Gas and was also a former dairy farmer.
He was a member of Webb Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, the Rev. Tim (Annetta) McKaig of Logansport; a daughter, Christina Sinclair of Avon; grandchildren Scott (Amanda) Sinclair, Chad Sinclair, Jennifer McKaig and fiancé Troy Barenie, and Katelyn (Matthew) Holcomb; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were a brother, Edward E. McKaig; a sister, Marian McKaig Moller; and a son-in-law, Jay Sinclair.
Services are 2 p.m. Dec. 31 at the Shiloh Christian Church. Interment is at Shiloh Cemetery.
