George C. Robinson Jr. died Monday at his Clayton home.
Born July 20, 1934, in Indianapolis, he was a son of the late George C. Sr. and Mary Belle (Kelly) Robinson.
Mr. Robinson worked 33 years as a journeyman electrician and journeymen welder with Allison Transmission, before retiring in 1992.
His memberships include the UAW local 933 and the radio controlled airplane clubs The Black Sheep Squadron and The Screaming Eagles.
Survivors include his wife, Betty (Fry) Robinson; a son, Glenn Robinson; daughters Georgenna Gick, Phyllis Hayes, Lisa Schlundt, and Becky Sallee; brothers Frank and Clarence Robinson; sisters Mary Hurst, Kathleen Robinson, Betty Lacey, and Sharon Arthur; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was a sister, Della Black.
Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home in Plainfield with the Rev. Timothy Hampton officiating. Interment will be at Clayton Cemetery.
Calling at the funeral home is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.
