Kathy D. Brunes of Columbus died Tuesday. She was 58.
Born March 12, 1951, in Indianapolis, she was a daughter of Walker T. and Betty J. (Rash) Sharp.
Mrs. Brunes had taught German and French at Columbus East High School for the past 10 years.
She was a member of Speedway Christian Church, Indiana State Teachers Association, National Teachers Association, and National Council of Teachers of English.
Survivors include her husband, Steve Brunes of Columbus; sons and daughters-in-law, Eric L. and Ann Wathen of Brownsburg and Matthew A. and Stacey Wathen of Roswell, Ga.; stepchildren Craig R. Brunes and wife Donna of Fishers, Crista R. Bradford and husband Chad of Pittsboro; her parents, of Lizton; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Rose Sharp of North Salem; and 10 grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was a brother, Paul A. Sharp.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at David A. Hall Mortuary in Pittsboro. Interment is at the K of P Cemetery in Lizton.
Calling at the mortuary is from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday.
