Junia Joy Phillips of Plainfield died Monday at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville. She was 84.
Born Feb. 6, 1928, in Stilesville, she was a daughter of Charles and Amelia Hack Jester. She married Clyde O. Phillips and he died in 1987.
Mrs. Phillips worked 45 years as an executive secretary at Eli Lilly and Co. before retiring in 1993.
She was a 50-year member and past worthy matron of Eastern Star Lodge No. 519.
Survivors include a daughter, Jackie Collins; brothers Jimmy and Melvin Jester; a sister, Nyla Murphy; grandchildren Lisa Hardwick and Jason Collins; and great-grandchildren Cieara Ford and Gaten Hardwick. A great-great-grandchild is expected in November.
Preceding her in death were a daughter, Janice M. Mahan, and brothers Raymond and Kenneth Jester.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Hall-Baker Funeral Home in Plainfield. Interment will follow at Stilesville Cemetery.
Calling at the funeral home is from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
