Matthew Ryan Wheeler of Plainfield died July 1. He was 31.
Born March 31, 1981, in Danville, he was a son of Lou Ann Reasoner Selch and Charles G. Wheeler, who survive.
Mr. Wheeler worked as a night auditor for Homewood Suites in Plainfield and was named employee of the year in 2011. He loved horror movies and attended several conventions all over the United States.
Also surviving are children Damian and Chloe Wheeler, grandmother Joan Teboe, fiancee Laci Meyer, brothers Rob and Kevin Wheeler, sister Ashley Bales, and half-sisters Jenny and Angie.
Services are 8 p.m. July 6 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, with visitation there 4 p.m. until service time.
