Velma Stephens of Plainfield died Saturday at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville, following a brief illness. She was 79.
She was married to Con Stephens for 34 years and worked as a dental assistant for most of her adult life.
Survivors include a son, Kevin Stephens and wife Dusty of Greenfield; a daughter, Vikki Stephens and husband Charley of St. Louis, Mo.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Charles and Stella White, two brothers and three sisters.
A memorial will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kingdom Hall in Plainfield.
