Robert E. Cummings of Avon died Jan. 21. He was 59.

Born June 18, 1950, in Indianapolis, he was a son of JoAnn Cummings and the late Guy Cummings Jr.

Mr. Cummings was a 1986 graduate of Indiana University. He had a successful sales career and won several national awards.

He was an avid music fan and had a collection of guitars and geodes.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Sandra Gibbs Cummings; his mother, JoAnn Cummings; a son, Christopher Cummings; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Anthony Cummings Lassere; a brother, Guy Cummings III; sisters and a brother-in-law, Carole Cummings and Jody and Ray Busch; and a grandson, Jalen Lassere.

Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at Family Funeral Care, 5791 Rockville Road, Indianapolis, with the Rev. Greg Overby officiating. Entombment will follow at West Ridge Park Cemetery Mausoleum.

Calling at the funeral home is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday.
